My Story
My love for technology began long before I even knew what that word really meant. At 13, I was scribbling my first lines of code, surrounded by college students who treated problem solving like a sport. That spark of curiosity and creativity lit a fire in me a passion for building things, figuring out how they worked, and sometimes, how to break them.
By the time I reached college, programming felt like second nature, and ethical hacking and Artificial Intelligence became my playground. In my third year, while interning with one of India’s top cybersecurity firms, I spent sleepless nights uncovering vulnerabilities in our college’s attendance and grading system and patching them up—a hands-on project that taught me the thrill of solving real-world problems. The following year, I locked myself in my room to bootstrap an AI assistant for AR goggles. It wasn’t perfect, but seeing it respond in real time felt like a glimpse into the future and a moment of pure pride.
After graduation, life threw me a curveball: I had to decide between pursuing an MBA at IIM or diving headfirst into entrepreneurship. The safer path was tempting, but my gut said otherwise. So, I took the plunge and started my own venture. That experience taught me more than I ever expected, not just about tech but also about business, risk, and resilience.
That entrepreneurial stint paved the way for an early-stage SaaS company, where I climbed my way to becoming CTO. From there, I joined a startup that was eventually acquired by a major tech player. It was a whirlwind of new challenges—scaling operations, wrangling AI, managing DevOps—but it also helped me realize something important: while big tech was exciting, my heart was with startups. I loved the scrappy energy, the creative problem-solving, and the grit it takes to build something out of nothing.
For the last five years, I’ve been channeling my energy into helping early-stage startups as a Fractional CTO—a role that blends my entrepreneurial mindset, technical expertise, and global perspective. Empowering innovators to build products they’re proud of, even with limited resources, is deeply fulfilling. It aligns perfectly with my Ikigai. Building, solving, and growing alongside passionate teams isn’t just work for me; it’s where I truly thrive.
